What a weekend and what a magic course Bonville is! We couldn't have asked for better weather as well and the course was looking absolutely amazing. If you haven't yet been to Bonville Golf Resort, that has to go on the bucket to list!
27 GCA legends played 27 holes of single stableford to see who would be crowned the 2022 club champion. After Saturday's 9 hole Round 1 - it was John Lally and Levi Clarke who came in as the club house leaders - both sitting on -2 for the round. Saturday evening was a great 3 course meal at the resort, followed by many many beers and maybe a trip in to town to Hoey Moeys for a few - including the 2 clubhouse leaders!
A few sore heads on Sunday meant BigJohn Lally couldn't keep his round going and he quickly fell off the pace. On the hand it was Levi Clarke who was keeping the ship pointed North and coming home strong. A Gallery awaited him to come in and he may have stumbled a little in front of the crowd, but he had enough of a lead to hold it together. In the end Levi Clarke held on to finish -2 for the 27 holes and take the W! Coming in a second place was another one who ventured into town and manned up shooting Even for his 27 holes - Yo Merckel. Finally rounding out third was the always consistent and ever improving Scott Gill on +1.
